Emma Palmer

Emma qualified as a Physiotherapist from Keele University in 2003 and has gained a wealth of experience over the past 20 years in a wide variety of NHS and private settings.

She began her career as a rotational physiotherapist within the East Lancashire NHS Trust before moving on to a position at both Euxton and Fulwood Hall Hospitals working for Ramsay Healthcare. Here, Emma worked her way up over 13 years to the position of Inpatient Lead, where she managed a team of physiotherapists and assistants, providing high quality inpatient care to patients following surgery.

Over the following years, Emma found herself drawn towards helping patients with neurological conditions and she worked on various Neurology wards throughout Lancashire, developing and refining her skills. She has a particular interest in treating vestibular problems and those with Functional Neurological Disorder.

To support her practice, she is qualified in using acupuncture, as well as gaining further qualifications in Pilates and Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention. During her career Emma has also worked with local sports teams, and in 2004 she volunteered at the Athens Olympics providing treatments to top athletes.

Emma joined us in April 2023 and is a highly respected member of the Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy team. She continues to strive to learn and develop her skills further which shows in the exemplary care she provides to all her patients. She really is a fantastic physiotherapist and we feel very lucky to have her on board.
