Terri Baxter

Terri began her career in Physiotherapy over 20 years ago and initially worked as a Physiotherapy Assistant at Aintree Hospital. After completing her Physiotherapy degree at Salford University in 2007, she went on to gain further experience working in a variety of posts including respiratory, orthopaedics, acute stroke, stroke rehab, neurological outpatients, musculoskeletal, and acute elderly care.

In 2016 Terri made the move to Southport Hospital, working within older persons care, frailty and falls which quickly became an area of special interest. She is passionate about older persons rehabilitation, helping people to return to and retain their mobility and independence, living active and fulfilling lives. To support her practice further, in 2023 Terri completed a master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice, allowing her to carry out specialist assessments and interventions with more complex cases. She is a member of the British Geriatric Society and AGILE – a professional network of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy for therapists working with older people.

Terri joined Burscough Neuro Physio at the beginning of 2024 and is a well-liked and highly respected member of the team. She continues to enjoy supporting her older patients with their rehabilitation goals, as well as utilising her skills with patients who have a variety of neurological conditions, including movement disorders, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and brain injury.

Away from work, Terri enjoys travel, and spending time with her two daughters, particularly going on walks and exploring National Trust properties. We feel extremely lucky to have Terri on board and brings a real wealth of experience to the team.
