Neuropathy Physiotherapy
Neuropathy
There are various types of neuropathy, all of which can affect the way your body feels and functions. Whether your neuropathy is linked to diabetes, injury, medical treatment or another underlying cause, everyday tasks can become more difficult, uncomfortable and unpredictable.
While neuro physiotherapy cannot change the underlying cause of neuropathy, it can play an important role in helping you manage the physical and sensory challenges it brings.
At Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy, we have supported individuals and families living with neuropathy for over 30 years. Our aim is to help you move more safely and confidently, improve balance and coordination, and make everyday activities feel more manageable.
How Neuro Physiotherapy Can Help with Neuropathy
We know that no two people experience neuropathy the same way. That’s why our approach is tailored to your symptoms, goals, and lifestyle. Many patients and families have concerns about the changes they’re experiencing, and these are all areas where the right rehabilitation and support can help you manage day to day.
Things we can help with:
- Numbness or tingling in the hands or feet
- Burning, sharp or shooting pain
- Muscle weakness or difficulty controlling movement
- Sensitivity or discomfort when touched
- Loss of balance, coordination or confidence when walking

Get Started with Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy
The first step in starting physiotherapy with us is to arrange an initial assessment. This gives us the opportunity to understand your current situation, your goals, and what support will feel most helpful for you.
Your initial assessment lasts approximately 90 minutes and looks at all aspects of how neuropathy currently impacts your life. We will:
- Assess your movement, balance and function
- Discuss what matters most to you
- Be honest about what improvement may realistically be achievable
- Create a clear plan to keep moving forward
The assessment also includes an element of treatment, so you leave with practical input from the very first session.
If you’re unsure whether neuro physiotherapy would be helpful, please feel free to call us for a friendly chat. We’re happy to talk through your situation and offer guidance on what moving forward may look like for you.
- No referral is needed. You are welcome to contact our team directly to arrange an initial assessment.
