Physiotherapy for Older People

Physiotherapy for Older People

Growing older does not have to mean giving up the things you enjoy. If you have noticed that you are slowing down, feeling weaker, becoming less steady on your feet, or finding everyday tasks more difficult, we are here to help.

At Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy, we support older people with a wide range of mobility difficulties, helping them improve strength, balance and confidence so they can move more safely and remain as independent as possible.

For over 30 years, we have supported individuals and families as they navigate changes in mobility, helping people stay active, adapt to change and preserve independence in ways that truly matter.

We understand that choosing private physiotherapy is an important decision. With over 20 specialist neuro physiotherapists and more than 30 years of experience, we support people with a wide range of neurological, balance and mobility difficulties. Our aim is always to provide thoughtful, personalised rehabilitation that feels clear, practical and worthwhile.

Get Started with Burscough Neuro Physiotherapy

The first step in starting physiotherapy with us is to arrange an initial assessment. This gives us the opportunity to understand your current situation, your goals, and what support will feel most helpful for you.

Your initial assessment lasts approximately 90 minutes and looks at all aspects of your current mobility and day-to-day function. We will:

  • Assess your movement, balance and function
  • Discuss what matters most to you
  • Be honest about what improvement may realistically be achievable
  • Create a clear plan to keep moving forward

The assessment also includes an element of treatment, so you leave with practical input from the very first session.

If you’re unsure whether neuro physiotherapy would be helpful, please feel free to call us for a friendly chat. We’re happy to talk through your situation and offer guidance on what moving forward may look like for you.

  • No referral is needed. You are welcome to contact our team directly to arrange an initial assessment.
